Q&A with Jorge
I started 6 clones outside the beginning of August. I am running a 65w Fluorex(CFL) when it starts to get dark. The clones are getting about 2-3 hours of direct sun, and from about 19:00 till sunrise get Fluorex light. I don’t know if I should top them or just let them go. I want to get the most bud I can. What do you suggest? Do you think it would be too late to put 12 more out? I know I can keep them under the Fluorex, but I have little experience outdoors. I was nervous but nutted up and did it.
These little clones are being grown to move outdoors in two months.
Clones growing in this Swiss greenhouse are all destine to be planted outdoors in large fields!
Do not “top” your plants by pruning off top growth. Pruning plants will not make them grow faster and it will retard flowering by a week or more. If you do any thing, build a small wire frame around each container and bend the branches so that the canopy of the garden is even. You can place the CFL lamp closer to the even garden canopy so the light distribution will be even and most efficient.
Strong clones grown indoors and moved outdoors early in the year will grow into huge plants like this. The clones must be acclimated to the growing zone.
