Here we go again. This grow began on Tuesday Nov. 3, when 13 seeds went into vertical germination. On Friday the 6th, 10 were ready to go into cups of perlite, and 1 more on Sunday, 2 never cracked.
The cups went in the small cabinet with a heat mat and under 4 CFL’s, 6500K. 100w equiv. and 12/12.
Monday morning all were showing a tiny bit of true leaf.
Saturday the 28th, the cups moved to the tent and under 10 CFL’s, (8) 6500K. and (2) 2700K.
Today, 27 days after planting in the cups, Dr. Opp. is a male and the others are all showing female
Tomorrow the lights will go to 19/5 to begin to re-veg them. Then another week under the CFL’s before up-canning and switching to LED’s.
Two days after topping and being under the 10 CFL’s at 19/5, they were showing signs of heat stress, all droopy, and Hurkle had gone hermie. So Sunday, pulled the CFL’s out and went with 1 LED at 20 inches and 17/7. By the next morning, all had perked up and looking health again.
Finally, yesterday, was feeling a lot better and was time to up-can.
Here’s hoping everyone is having a happy holiday time.
Over the last 2 weeks there have been good things happening in the tent and a few not so good.
Most of them took to transplant well and had their roots get a firm grip in the perlite within 3 days. The exceptions were Candyland and one of the Cherry Bomb. Both started turning yellow 5 days after up-canning.
Have no idea why, same light, same water, same perlite. Other than the color the plants looked healthy. the leaves were standing straight, not drooping. Now, after a flush and a lot of Nitrogen they’re starting to green up again.
The tent after 2 weeks.
With a couple on booster seats and the LST I have a fairly even canopy at 7-8 inches above the perlite.
I’ll continue the LST for another 7-10 days and then flip them into bloom.
At 3 weeks since up-canning, yesterday, I add the second LED unit and set them both at 20 inches above the canopy.
Last Thursday, gave them all a good flushing to get a fresh start for the bloom phase. Friday they went to 12/12. Saturday they got their first feeding of bloom nutes.
Been using 2 heat mats standing on the long edge and between the containers, on a timer set for the dark hours. Keeping the temp at 68 F. during the cold nights and lights on temp 74-76 F.
Last Monday, saw the first signs of true flowers, 11 days after the flip, today is 4 days into bloom.
Deep Purple sticks out like a sore thumb in with all the sativa dominates.
Day 13 in bloom picture update. This will require two pages. Starting with the four Cherry Bomb in different size containers.
Coming up on 9 weeks in bloom. At week 8, stop all nutes and only using Sweet (raw) in their water.
Tuesday, did another light defol. of the yellow and dry leaves.
Chopped the 4 Cherry Bomb yesterday at 74 days in bloom. Total chop weight 554 grams.
12 weeks in bloom and it is almost over. Sunday night when the lights went out, so did the light unit. Zipped up the tent and let them sit in the dark until this morning, about 63 hours before the big chop.
Left to right, Candyland – Heart of Gold – Mendo Mind Warp.
Yesterday, after hanging in the closet for 14 days it was time to go to work on the 4 Cherry Bomb, and to make room in the closet for today’s harvest. A little over four hours and 3 pairs of gloves and its all in jars.
