Q&A with Jorge
Hi Jorge, I have a little more than 8 grams of stems that I have been saving for quite some time. I heard that you can use them to cook with or can extract the THC from them. Is any of this true? If so what process do you recommend?

I normally throw away stems and compost them in my garden.
Hi Gud run,
Stems contain little if any THC-potent resin. Resin degrades when exposed to light, air (oxygen) and heat. The fact that you have been keeping the stems for “quite some time” guarantees that any resin they may contain has been biodegrading, which will diminish whatever resin they contain. I never expect to get any resin from my harvested stems. My advice is to grind them up and toss them in the compost pile. In fact, it is a bad idea to keep them around, because according to law enforcement in many States in America, the worthless bunk you are sitting on is “potent high-quality cannabis.”
