This grow consists of 4 girls scout cookie clones and 4 sugar punch clones with both sets being 3 1/2 weeks old. These clones were taken from 2 fast growing and bushy mothers that were fem seeds. Equipment and nutes are as follows:
8 x airpots
2 x solarstorm 440 panels (California Light Works)
1 x X5 300 panel (Hydroponics Hut)
1 x CO2 tank and regulator
Happy Frog soil
Fox Farm nutes
6.5 X 6.5ft Grow Tent
Day 1 Bloom
Over the past 3 1/2 weeks these girls have been topped/fim’d, suppercropped and defoliated once. They have responded well while growing fast and wide so I hope it continues throughout the bloom phase….. I’ve also taken 3 clones from each strain to keep theses genetics going and I only need 2 for new mothers so I like my odds.
Day 6 Bloom
Watered with plainish water today and it seems to be necessary every 3rd day for now. Also been braking a few branches trying to get GSC to bush out a bit more… I was able to keep a pretty fast grow GSC pheno that is actually holding its own with SP…..
Day 24 Bloom
Today was the 2nd defoliation for this grow. Being a 100% LED grower this is how I choose to make up for the decrease in penetration as opposed to using hids. Ever since I started doing this my results have been great with the added bonus of significantly decreasing the humidity in the tent. This is also where i get to see if all my work during veg paid off to give me the plant structure I want. Sugar Punch has spread out nicely while GSC is not as good but has branched out a bit more than usual. Now I get to see how well the buds develop and fatten up with all the added light exposure.
Day 30 Bloom
Just some baby bud shots.
Day 37 Bloom
These two strains are plugging along nicely and being a little past the half way point I’m pretty satisfied. I posted that this is a fox farm trio grow but that’s only half true.
Finally got my pineapple chunk seed plants into their pots. Hopefully I get a good pheno I can keep to have a balanced variety of strains. I’ve only grown one Barney’s Farm strain before in tangerine dream and I had a decent amount of success with it. These are under my pro grow 400s.
Day 42 Bloom
Six weeks in and I’m starting to need support on some branches which is a good sign in my book. So far this has been a easy grow with no issues and I’m already planning my next clone grow which will more than likely be pineapple chunk and mad berry in the same configuration…
For this many plants I used to have to run another 1200W so yeah I’ve cut my electric bill by 60-70%. Also I don’t have to run exhaust fans now either. The LEDs I run are pretty expensive but they have more than paid for themselves considering the $300 a month I save on electricity.
Day 51 Bloom
This grow has now entered the home stretch and will have one more feeding before I start flushing. Got lazy and let em dry out a couple days ago so gotta make sure I don’t do that again….
When I veg my plants I purposely don’t keep track of weeks or days so I’m not worrying about a number and just let the plants tell me when they’re ready to flip…
Day 1 Bloom (PC)
No clue how long I’ve had these pineapple chunk seed plant in veg but they’re around 12-17″ tall and branched out nicely. Finally getting to the fun part when I can see what pheno I want to add to the collection. So far this has been a pretty uneventful grow with all plants healthy and showing no deficiencies.
Day 20 Bloom
Today was defoliation day and it took forever as usual. I always forget how much more leaf seed plants put out as opposed to clones…
Day 33 Bloom
Had to do a sledgehammer flush due to some minor nute burn a couple days ago. Turns out the powder big bud is much more concentrated than the liquid so I dropped from 1 tsp per 5 gallons of water to 1/2 tsp. The burn was just on the tips but it still needed to be dealt with.
I finally transplanted my 8 pineapple chunk clones into the big tent. I still have a couple backups standing by in case they’re needed. So far so good.
Currently my clones are sitting at 10″ and doing extremely well. From what their mothers have done I know I need to concoct some form of netting to keep everything from falling over around week 6. These ladies are under bigger and badder lights than their mothers so this will definitely be an issue….
